Dude, that is really solid. It is really unique. Most people don't run workouts on back to back days. You go back to back workouts in the same workout! Is the target 30 sec/mile difference between the intervals / LT run? Or do you run the intervals at a goal pace, and just see what you can get on the LT run?
Well done!

Tom - first time I had tried a workout like that. I was debating between interval (5 x 1600)and long LT run (6-7 miles), so I decided to do a little of both. The paces were laregly based on a VDOT calculator given recent race/training paces. The interval pace was probably 5 seconds or so faster than what the calculator suggested.
I am running a half marathon on Sunday so wanted to see how 6:15 miles felt about 10 miles into a hard workout. Pace felt good so will shoot for 1:23-1:24 range for the half.

Good luck in your half Sunday, and I hope you get decent weather. You're in some great shape!

Thanks Tom! Looks like its going to be cold, but hopefully the rain/snow holds off until after the race is over.
